I just got a music voucher for Nokia Music Store!

Well, it's not really for me, it's for my sister who just bought her E63. The voucher is included per purchase of some Nokia handsets. My N82 didn't come with one though. Anyway, the voucher is good for purchase of 8 songs or 1 full album. Now wait - 8 songs, Nokia Music Store. All I need now is a striped background, Adobe Photoshop and a cleverly arranged clever selection of songs, then I'll be in for Nuffnang's awesome new contest! Yay!

That aside, I believe many of you are aware of Nokia's new service called Comes With Music. Or you may not be, but you might have noticed if you are browsing thru a telco's online shop (e.g. singtelshop.com), there are some Nokia handsets labeled with CWM. This means that the handset comes built-in with the service I was just talking about. But what is it?

Nokia Comes With Music allows one who purchased a Nokia CWM handset to download as many songs as desired from the millions that are available in the Nokia Music Store. The service is good for 12 months, and the best part is even after the service is over, the tracks you downloaded are yours to keep.

But not all Nokia handsets come with this service. Supported handsets include most of the recent XpressMusic handsets (5800, 5320, 5730, etc), and some of the recent N-Series handsets (N97, N96, N85, etc) labeled with -Comes With Music.

In case you are using a browser other than IE (such as Firefox or Safari), or if you are running on a Mac (where there is no IE), not to worry: there are two ways by which you can access the Nokia Music Store right from your phone. One way is thru an application in the Music folder (where you can find the music player, radio, podcasts) called Music Store, or by going to music.nokia.com via your phone's browser.
